Discover the city with your guide, while contemplating the historical buildings and the breathtaking views of the nearby coast. Learn how the Romans annihilated Carthage in 146 BC; however, the excavations have uncovered homes, sewer systems, and traces of the city walls.
Continue your visit after seeing the UNESCO-listed archeological site and head to Sidi Bou Said, a charming village with azure and ivory hues that offers a view of the Mediterranean. Take a lunch break at a local restaurant before returning to Tunis to explore the National Museum of Bardo. The latter houses collections ranging from Roman mosaics to ancient Islamic ceramics, not to mention a few Phoenician objects of great rarity.
